“It is hard to identify the bad guy, the predator, and sometimes even the bully. Especially when they are your friend or family member. It is never too early to learn how to identify the perpetrator and establish boundaries.”

Are these events for girls only?
The demographic of your event is 100% up to the staff. We have trained girls-only before, as well as co-ed, and so it all depends on what your event's prime focus is. For example, if ideally you would like to educate the girls in the phases of sexual assault, then it would be more effective to have the event open to 'girls-only' (while considering opening those doors to those who identify with being female). However, if you would rather focus on the 'bully', while taking note of the sexual predator in conversation, we can do a co-ed event, as well. We have done both, and what we have observed is when limiting events to girls-only, there is a more intimate setting where the girls have the opportunity to feel safe in expressing themselves while asking questions, as well as comfortable in participating in the physical aspect of defending oneself. This art teaches males that they are not as strong as they once thought, and teaches females that they are stronger than they thought they were –so however you want to approach it, we will support you!
